Grade 9 Math Tutor

Our Grade 9 math program will help capture your student’s attention and make learning what it should be: a non-threatening, confidence building experience.

Grade 9 Math: $12.99 a week,

This is the ideal time to join our program, with a little as 15-30 min a day your child will be light years ahead when school starts again in September.

There are five main areas to this “course”:

1. VoiceThread Lessons (What is VoiceThread?): This section is where I will put up weekly lessons where all students may attempt to answer the questions together. I will guide the learning with helps, hints and at the end of the week an explanation – if it is not adequately explained as a group.
   • Students can also email their math questions and we can work on them together on a VoiceThread. These questions will be collected into a database so students can review them to receive step-by-step solutions.
2. Video Lessons: This consists of watching various videos and answering questions after to reinforce what was covered. (track your results in the grade book)
3. Assessment: There are quizzes and tests to find out which areas need improvement, and also to provide practice for Provincial Achievement Tests. (track your results in the grade book)
4. Extra Lessons: This is a place where the student will get out their note books and try to follow the lessons and answer the questions by themselves.
5. Math Games: Most interactive math games have a worksheet to go along with them.

There will also be many other resources, websites and games that will be made available to you to enhance and make learning math enjoyable.
